Description

I'm going to be moving several of my adoptable characters to NPCs in this group. Because let's face it. I have a LOT of adoptables open and they take up the spotlight that some other adoptables that people create for this group would deserve.
I have yet to fully determine which ones I will be making NPCs, but to start i'll be doing 3 today and 3 tomorrow- and see from there where I will go. To start this off I'm making Lupusfang a NPC. Kithood

Lupuskit was born into Stoneclan in a litter of two with a sister known as Foxkit. While Foxkit took on after both her parents' nature, strong willed and intending to be the best warrior Stoneclan ever had, Lupuskit was much quieter and preferred to let his imagination carry him. These difference did draw the two siblings apart, but they still loved each other dearly- spending a great deal of their kithood together.

Apprentice-hood
Lupuspaw was made apprentice under Darkstar's tyranic rule. These were dark times for Stoneclan and his mentor "Leopardnight" emphasized this during their training together, attempting to force his apprentice into developing a hatred towards the other clans. However Leopardnight failed to do this as Lupuspaw had seen the horrors his own clan leader did and refused to believe it was for the better.

It was at the beginning of his apprentice-hood that Lupuspaw and Foxpaw's difference truly broke through. Foxpaw had quickly made friends with other apprentices in her clan, while Lupuspaw, feeling no connection to their support for the code was left alone. The love between the two siblings began to waver, with neither daring to test it out of fear of cutting ties for good.

Warrior-hood
Gradually through his first moons of warrior-hood Lupusfang had gotten and lost an apprentice. Young Dovepaw cat had been soft and kind, but she couldn't have possibly survived the constant fighting of that time. It was around this time that Lupusfang took notice of a small organisation created by two Streamclan cats: Thornheart and Bramblefrost.
He began to attend the meeting, participating in the mourning rituals aimed to give an homage to all those who had fallen and been forgotten by their clans. The tom also showed a strong support for the group's hatred of the warrior code, how it had been abused disgusted him and the life loss were just too much to bear.

It was during these short but peaceful meetings that Lupusfang came across Rabbitstripe. Rabbitstripe was the sister of Lakeclan's deputy "Lightningstrike", but unlike him she held no anger toward Stoneclan and it's cats. The she-cat showed true kindness and it wasn't long that Lupusfang realized he held feelings for her.

It wasn't before long that Foxwhisper took notice of Lupusfang's absence, while the meetings with the organization gave him a chance to hang out with Rabbitstripe Lupusfang pretended that he only went there because he supported their cause. This along angered his sister, drawing the two siblings permanently apart as she saw him as a disloyal cat who did not follow the warrior code by not obeying Darkstar.

Moons waxed and waned, Darkstar's rule came to an abrupt end and a time of peace under Scarstar's rule. Rabbitstripe had taken notice of Lupusfang's feelings towards her but the she-cat felt that it would be better to keep their distances, seeing how her brother was now Lakeclan's leader and the warrior code forbad cats to be more than friends in a clan. Being unable to stay with the one he loved just served to contribute to Lupusfang's hatred to the warrior code...However there was very little he could do, as the organization had fallen apart after Thornheart had refused the role of Streamclan's deputy and left the clans.

Time alone was time that Lupusfang began to feel a disconnection with his clanmates. Things were peaceful under Scarstar's rule, but despite this Lupusfang was still treated as an outsider and codebreaker by his sister and her companions for breaking the warrior code. Knowing that they did not know the extent of how much he broke it the tom began to feel uncomfortable...like he did not belong.

Eventually Lupusfang learned of the League and how Thornheart had moved from the organization to create something bigger, something that accepted cats from outside and inside the clans. The only thing he had to do was kill a clan cat or someone close to him. Deciding that the best option to take was someone from his own clan Lupusfang targetted his sister, killing her during a rogue ambush on their patrol and acting as the only survivor.

Lupusfang settled in well with the League, agreeing with their anti-code views...The only thing that distrubed him was how Thornheart had followed Bramblefrost's ideas and made the original peaceful organization something oriented towards bloodshed. Lupusfang never wanted to kill. He just wanted to be "free" of the code and its controlling ways. He acted as a rogue spy on Stoneclan, bringing back some useful information from that clan and occasionally Lakeclan. However his time in the League came to a sudden halt when one of his superiors order him to attack Rabbitstripe to get to Lightningstar for being the League's main oposition.

Lupusfang proceeded with the plan,he organized a meeting with Rabbitstripe and prepared to kill her. But the feelings for her were to strong, making it hard for him to bring himself to end her. The tom let her go and pretended she had managed to get away. The Vice who had ordered him was disappointed, but they believed him. During the course of that following moon Lupusfang had the time to brood over his actions, and plotted to get away from it all. He approached Rabbitstripe and asked if they could run away together, away from the terror of the rogues.

At first Rabbitstripe accepted his proposition happily, and they lived a few moons as loners. The two were happy, living away from League and clan life, sleeping in and hunting together. But the life of a loner wasn't right for Rabbitstripe, heavy hearted the she-cat decided to return to Lakeclan. Understanding her reasons Lupusfang vowed to protect her at any time. Remaining as a loner so that he could watch things go down from the outside.

During this time Lupusfang assumed Rabbitstripe had been killed by her clan. After leaving him the she-cat had never been present outside of Lakeclan camp, and being no good at swimming Lupusfang was unable to go looking for her. It wasn't until he caught sight of her on a patrol with her brother Scorchstorm that he was relieved to see her alive. However his relief was quickly caught short as Lupusfang, following Rabbitstripe's patrol, stumbled upon rogues prepared to ambush it. The tom was attacked for treachery and would have likely been gravely injured had the patrol not heard the fighting and come to his rescue.

Rabbitstripe begged him to return to Lakeclan with her so that their medicine cats could have a close look at his wounds. But much to the entire patrol's surprise he refused, but no matter how insistent the tom was the five Lakeclaners ignored his pleas and dragged him to camp for Stealthheart to take a closer look. The tom was preoccupied by a worried Rabbittail during the journey to camp, so much that once arrived he barely took notice of the cat's around him, and to be specific a young apprentice who came up to Rabbittail, worry in it's eyes.

The news was a shock to Lupusfang when Rabbittail introduced him to the young apprentice, telling Moosepaw that "This is your father". The tom had never known he had a son, and the thought that during the nine moons of her staying in camp it hadn't occured to him that she was caring for kits. His kits.

The apprentice's reaction seemed to mirror his father's Moosepaw was horrified at first that his father may be a rogue, and then reassured and a little disappointed that he was nothing but a mere loner. The two spoke for a while, but no matter how much Lupusfang tried to explain to his son that he had said away from living in the clans to protect the cats he was close to Moosepaw only showed bitterness at the fact his father had been blind to his existence.

Keeping a close eye on his son during his time in the medicine cat then Lupusfang took notice of some strange attitudes: First Moosepaw lacked in sleep a lot, Second the tom wouldn't hesitate to test himself when it came to facing other cats, even going as far as challenging Lightningstar. Any approach Lupusfang did to interact with his son was met with cold silence or anger, there was very little the father could do to create a bond with his son.

It was seeing this attitude that convince Lupusfang to return to clan life. Not because he wanted to but rather to watch over his son and Rabbitstripe. Part of him was worried that Mosspaw/tracks worked for the League but he never found any solid proof of that.

The night of the massacre Lupusfang and Rabbitstripe were in Lakeclan camp. The two fought hard to protect the medicine cat den, saving Rabbitstripe's injured brother Larkchaser from death, but neither were able to prevent Stealthheart from jumping into the fray- dying in the process.

As the tension died down the two parents were unable to find their son. Lightningstar had died, replaced by Shimmerstar. And while tension remained in Lakeclan the two mates opted to remain there. Even when tension rose to the point of a rebellion inside the clan after Shimmerstar removed the code Lightningstar had put in place to kill any cat suspected of working for the League. This created trouble for both mates as Scorchstorm supported these ideals while they didn't.

They were proven right when the rebellion leader Angledwing was none other than a League ally. But the damage had been done. Lakeclan was left deputy-less after Foxline had been exiled and Shimmerstar refused to name a new deputy. Rabbitstripe and Lupusfang worked hard to keep the clan afloat, but in the end they could hardly work alone. Scorchstorm joined in with them, organizing patrol and hunting parties to ensure the clan kept on running when Shimmerstar wasn't working.

However their efforts quickly crumbled down when the League attacked once again. A clanmate of theirs Ripplestripe had killed a defensless League depleted one and this had angered the rogues to the point of war.

And this is where Lupusfang's story continues...his fate uncertain.
